3 Secrets To Help Women Let Go & Lighten Their Lives

Hand writes in a notebook with text: "3 Secrets To Help Women Let Go & Lighten Their Lives," promoting a blog linked at kallyjoanne.com.

Hello beautiful souls, this is your sanctuary for emotional wellbeing, self-esteem, and confidence.

Are you carrying more than just the weight of your to-do list?

So many women move through life silently holding onto old stories, self-doubt, digital overwhelm, and emotional clutter that quietly dims their light.

If you've been feeling heavy — emotionally, mentally, even physically — this is your gentle permission to let go. To release the things that no longer serve you. To return to your centre. To breathe lighter and live lighter.

These aren’t just tips. These are soulful secrets — sacred rituals that help you soften the grip of shame, reclaim your energy from screens and noise, and clear space (internally and externally) to finally feel free again.

You don’t have to overhaul your life overnight. Just start with these three steps — and watch what unfolds when you give yourself permission to release, reset, and realign.

Let’s begin.

Release & Reset

This is a deeply healing day. Today, I invite you to write a letter to your past self.

The version of you who didn’t know what you know now. The one who tried her best, even when she felt like she was failing. The one who carried shame, self-doubt, or regret without anyone truly seeing the weight she held.

Write to her with love. Let her know she did enough. Let her know she was enough.

Say all the things you wish someone had said to you back then. Offer her grace. Forgiveness. Compassion.

And then, run a warm bath or step into a long, soul-soothing shower. As the water flows over you, visualise it washing away any lingering negativity and out dated beliefs. Picture that version of you being gently released, dissolved into the water, no longer needed.

You are allowed to reset. You are allowed to begin again.

Try These Action Steps:

  1. Write a Loving Letter to Your Past Self: Set aside 15–20 minutes to write a letter to the version of you who needed support the most. Use compassionate language. Forgive her. Love her. Thank her for getting you here.

  2. Take a Warm, Intuitive Bath or Shower: As the water flows over your skin, visualize old emotions, beliefs and negativity washing away. Add Epsom salts, essential oils (lavender or rose), or light a candle to amplify the release.

  3. Hide or Bury the Letter (optional, but powerful): If it feels right, hide the letter from yourself or bury it in the earth as a symbolic release. Say out loud: "I let go with love"

Affirmations & Gratitude - Say Them Aloud:

  • I am no longer who I was. I release the past and honour how far I’ve come.

  • I am grateful for the strength I showed, even in silence.

  • I am safe to forgive myself and others. I choose positivity over pain.

  • I am grateful for the healing unfolding in my life.

  • I trust in my power to reset, renew, and rise.

  • I am grateful for this moment of release and new beginnings.

Take Out Your Journal & Answer These Questions:

  • What does my past self most need to hear from me right now? (Write freely — no judgment. Let it flow.)

  • What am I ready to let go of emotionally, mentally, or spiritually? (Be honest. Is it shame? Guilt? An old story?)

  • How will it feel in my body and soul to truly release this? (Describe the version of you who no longer carries this weight.)

Create a sacred moment with this simple but powerful practice:

  • Prepare your space – light a candle, play soft music, and dim the lights.

  • Before stepping into the bath or shower, place your hands on your heart. Say aloud “With this water, I release everything that no longer serves me.”

  • As you wash, picture old beliefs or identities melting off your skin. Visualize a new, lighter energy entering your body.

  • When you’re done, wrap yourself in a cosy towel or robe and sit for a moment of stillness. Breathe. Smile. Acknowledge the shift.

  • Optionally, apply body oil or lotion slowly and lovingly, as if nurturing a new version of you into being.

Digital Boundaries

Today's invitation is simple but radical in this hyper-connected world: No scrolling. No mindless tapping. No comparing. No overstimulating your nervous system with highlights from someone else’s life.

Use your phone or devices only for what’s essential – messages, emails, directions if needed – but no diving into the digital whirlpool.

Instead, gift yourself presence.

✨ Read a chapter from a book that makes you feel good.

✨ Take a long, unhurried walk without your phone.

✨ Sit with a cup of tea and actually taste it.

✨ Journal. Stretch. Nap. Be.

You are reclaiming your energy from the screen and bringing it back to your soul.

Notice how much space opens up when you're not being constantly pulled out of the present moment.

This is how we soothe the nervous system and reconnect with our inner compass.

Today is about clearing mental noise, calming the nervous system, and coming back to presence. By limiting screen time and scrolling, you create room for clarity, calm, and reconnection with your true self.

Try These Action Steps:

1. Turn Off All Non-Essential Notifications: Mute your phone, disable alerts, and step away from your inbox and social feeds. Let the digital world wait while you reclaim your mind.

2. Replace Screen Time with Soul Time: Choose a nourishing alternative:

* Read a chapter from a feel-good book

* Go for a long, phone-free walk in nature

* Journal, stretch, nap, or just *be* in stillness.

3. Create a Digital Use Plan for the Day: Write down what essential digital tasks are allowed today (e.g., checking work emails for 15 minutes). Stick to your plan and honour your intention.

Affirmations & Gratitude - Say Them Aloud:

  • I deserve a positive mind and a present heart.

  • I am grateful for the calm that comes when I unplug.

  • I am not defined by what I consume, but by what I create within.

  • I am grateful for moments of stillness and clarity.

  • Every time I log off, I reconnect with my power.

  • I am grateful for the space to breathe, reflect, and realign.

Take Out Your Journal & Answer These Questions:

  • How do I feel when I spend too much time on screens? What does it cost me emotionally? (Be real. Let your feelings speak.)

  • What part of me is craving connection, and how can I meet that need offline today? (Explore deeper needs: validation, inspiration, escape, soothing?)

  • What will I discover about myself in the quiet space I create today? (Tune into your intuition, creativity, and inner voice.)

Try This Mindfulness Self-Care Ritual:

  • Unplug completely – place your phone in another room, or use airplane mode.

  • Create a quiet corner with a blanket, candle, book, or journal.

  • Practice presence:

    • Sip a warm drink with full awareness

    • Read a chapter from a beautiful book

    • Take a walk in silence, just noticing sounds and sensations

    • Sit in stillness and breathe deeply for 5–10 minutes

    • End with intention**:

  • Place your hand on your heart and say: “I honour the sacred space I create for myself. I return to the world lighter, clearer, and deeply rooted in positivity.”

Declutter & Lighten

Energy loves to move – and so does clarity.

Today, choose one small space – a drawer, a shelf, a corner – and make it your project.

But this isn’t about perfection. This is about energy and intention.

Put on some music. Light a candle if you’d like. Let this become a moving meditation.

As you sort through your space, notice what you're also releasing emotionally:

* An old object that no longer reflects who you are.

* Papers or clothes tied to a past version of you.

* Clutter that quietly drains your mental bandwidth.

With each item you let go of, you make space not just in your home, but in your heart.

As the space lightens, so do you.

Decluttering is more than tidying up — it’s an energetic reset. When we clear space around us, we often feel lighter, freer, and more connected to what matters. Today, let your environment reflect the positivity you’re calling in.

Try These Action Steps:

1. Choose One Small Space to Declutter: Choose a drawer, a corner, your bedside table, or even your handbag. Keep it small and achievable. The goal is a sense of progress, not perfection.

2. Create a Soft, Sacred Atmosphere: Light a candle or incense, play gentle music, and treat the task like a moving meditation. Breathe deeply and declutter mindfully, one item at a time.

3. Let Go with Intention: As you release or reorganise each item, say silently: “I thank you, and I let you go. Honour what once served you and make space for what’s coming.

Affirmations & Gratitude - Say Them Aloud:

  • As I clear my space, I clear my mind.

  • I am grateful for the clarity that grows with each item I release.

  • I deserve to live in a space that reflects positivity, not chaos.

  • I am grateful for the calm energy flowing through my home.

  • Letting go makes space for what truly lights me up.

  • I am grateful for the courage to create room for joy and alignment.

Take Out Your Journal & Answer These Questions:

  • What am I energetically holding onto that’s weighing me down — physically or emotionally? (Is it a person, belief, or outdated version of yourself?)

  • What would it feel like to live in a space that fully supports my positivity and power?(Visualize it. Describe the feeling.)

  • What is one item or habit I’m ready to release — and what do I hope to invite in its place? (Be honest and aspirational.)

Try A Mindfulness Self-Care Ritual:

  • Set an Intention: Before you begin, place your hands over your heart and say: “Today I create space for peace, love, and lightness in my life.”

  • Clear the Space Physically: Declutter one small area with presence. As you handle each object, ask: “Does this serve the woman I’m becoming?” Keep what aligns. Release what doesn’t.

  • Cleanse the Space Energetically: Light some sage, palo santo, or incense and slowly walk around the area, allowing the smoke to flow into corners. As you do, repeat: “I release stagnant energy. I welcome clarity.”

  • Place your crystal of choice in the newly cleared space as a symbol of your lightness. Sip your tea or lemon water slowly. Breathe deeply. Let the simplicity soothe you.

  • Journal: “How do I feel now that this space is lighter?” or simply sit in silence, hand on heart, and feel the shift within you.
